This year’s Women’s History Month celebrates the theme Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion recognizing women who speak up and have led change in their fields. In celebration of this, Gannett Gallery will host the exhibit Founders and Firsts created by SUNY Poly’s CMD and IMGD student information designers. This work honors twenty, trailblazing women who will forever be a part of American history by pioneering change through their original work and efforts. Students explored meaning and form with a quote by each woman through mindmapping, color theory and typographic expression resulting in a timeline of words and images spanning 162 years. The COM 320 course project will be on exhibit from March 11 through March 22, 2024 with an opening on Wednesday, March 13 at noon.
